A new painting from my "Geographies Within" series - inspired by impressions from one of my journeys to Japan. "Kyoto Sakura Glow" was inspired by impressions from one of my trips to Japan. An evening sunset overlooking a temple remained in my memory together with a feeling of silence, contemplation, and delicate spring air. Rather than depicting a specific place, the painting gathers fragments of sensation - soft blossoms, flowing branches, fading light, and suspended forms that drift between memory and imagination. The glowing circular form recalls the warmth of the setting sun, while layered organic lines create a quiet sense of movement and stillness at once. Painted in a semi-abstract language, the work reflects an emotional landscape more than a physical one — a moment of calm presence, where time feels slowed and everything exists in gentle harmony. Original oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas, with the sides painted in the main color.
